Privacy policy for Kerry McKenzie’s website

08/ Privacy

This is my privacy notice for kerrymckenzie.ca. It explains what happens when you get in touch, how advertising cookies are handled, and where to go if you want to change your choices or ask a question.

Last updated: October 30, 2026. Site owner: Kerry McKenzie, Ontario, Canada.

When you get in touch

The contact form asks for your name, email address, topic, and message. I use the information you provide to understand your inquiry and respond about the work or conversation you have in mind. Messages are stored through the website’s hosting services. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed for your inquiry.

Sending a message is separate from accepting advertising cookies. You can use the contact form without agreeing to advertising.

Hosting and essential storage

This website uses Lovable Cloud for website services, including storing contact submissions. Website delivery also involves technical information such as your IP address, browser, and requested pages. These services operate under their own privacy notices.

Essential browser storage remembers your cookie choice. The record includes a randomly generated visitor reference, the time of your decision, your country when it can be determined, the notice you were shown, and your advertising choice. Earlier decisions are retained in that browser record when you later withdraw consent. Clearing your browser’s site data removes that local record and you will be asked again.

The site requests your country from its own hosting service to apply regional advertising safeguards. If the country cannot be confirmed, advertising stays off.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

This site is configured to use Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled with your permission, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits.

Advertising services may process your IP address, cookie or device identifiers, browser and device information, and browsing or advertising interactions to deliver and personalize ads, measure advertising performance, and prevent fraud. Recipients include Google and its advertising partners. Their processing may take place outside Canada.

The AdSense script is blocked until you accept advertising cookies and the site can confirm that its regional safeguards allow loading it. Rejecting optional cookies keeps AdSense off. Advertising also stays off when your browser communicates a Global Privacy Control opt-out.

For visits from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising stays off pending setup of a Google-certified consent management platform. The cookie choices on this site are not a substitute for that platform.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and read Google’s privacy policy.

Changing your cookie choices

You can reopen Cookie settings at any time using the link below or in the footer. Opening settings does not change your choice. To withdraw advertising permission, choose “Reject optional cookies.” Withdrawal takes effect immediately for new advertising activity and refreshes pages where advertising has already loaded, including other open tabs on the same site.

Withdrawing consent does not undo information already sent to Google. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser. Google offers personalized advertising controls in My Ad Center. Other participating vendors provide opt-out choices through the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Links to other websites

Links to Unbound Ideas, featured tools, social platforms, and other sites take you to websites with their own privacy practices and cookie choices. This notice covers kerrymckenzie.ca, not those other websites.

Questions or personal information requests

If you have a privacy question, or want to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted through the contact form, contact me and select “Other” as the topic. Please mention that your message is about privacy so I can understand your request.

I may update this notice as the website changes. The date above identifies the current version.
